We invite you to join us for a guided walk and to take a closer look at the latest artistic interventions at Gesamtkunstwerk Metelkova. We will reveal the background of artistic projects, meet some of the authors and of course take a look into the windows of Pešak Night Gallery.
Guerrilla architecture, numerous public artistic interventions and artisanal works form a public spatial sculpture known as Gesamtkunstwerk Metelkova. Since 2004, it has been systematically co-created here by an authentic community, which also has a functional use. Individual artistic interventions are often combined with tables, benches, greenery, umbrellas, playing field etc. Metelkova as a public space with the integration of artworks is at the same time a story of openness, accessibility, participation and engagement. Gesamtkunstwerk Metelkova is created by local artists working on the site, younger and mid-career artists from the region, and international visual artists who come for a working visit to the Studio Atelje Azil.
